Andy has given up one of his closest secrets to landing the 'BIG BOYS'. Andy has experimented with various leader lengths all throughout his fishing career albeit non-professional. He has come up with the 'Eureka' moment when he realised that the 'BIG BOYS' often strike at his bait when the leader was approximately 24 inches in length. He is not sure why they prefer this length but they do.
Andy uses his judgement when selecting the use of mono or wire leader material which is based upon his sound knowledge of the area being fished. The below diagram just gives you an idea of the type of preparation that goes into his leader making activities.
